			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Strengthening your relationship with your child is extremely important. I felt I was losing touch with my child and looked for ways to bond once again. I looked at each of my children to find which of five &#8216;love languages&#8217; meant the most to them. Touch (f.ex. hugs/cuddles), words of affirmation, quality time, spontaneous gifts, acts of service (f.ex. cleaning their room once in a while). One of my girls became quite happy when I gave her a hug, after that I began showing her much more attention, even by simply<span id="more-10"></span> placing my hand on her shoulder as I was talking with someone, simply letting her know I was there.Is this new to you? I began going in and spending time in the evenings just sitting at her bed and listening to her talk. In the begginning it took some probing, but you could easily see it meant the world to her. All of our relationships have never been as loving and strong.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The most common health problems for seniors are generally viewed as part of aging. However, many still live very active lives in spite of this. With medical breakthroughs and healthy lifestyles, people live much longer than the last century.</p>
<p>One of the most common health conditions afflicting seniors is a loss in bone density called osteoporosis. A decrease in hormonal levels can be the largest contributor to this loss of bone density disease. This disease may be prevented through early screening.</p>
<p>Poor eyesight<span id="more-9"></span> can be due to glaucoma, cataracts and diabetes. <p>Poor memory may begin in early as our 20&#8242;s. It is then the brain begins to lose cell due to chemical deficiencies. Memory loss can be short-term or long-term. Memory loss becomes a problem when things done in repetion are forgotten, such as a recipe or driving to the grocer. This can be a potentially dangerous problem. </p>
<p>Overall, the aging process is not without changes in the way we manage or daily activities. Discussing what the most common health problems for seniors are with a primary care physician can be a great advantage.</p>

Doing exercises promotes that person&#8217;s wellness and keeps his or her limbs moving and functional. In fact, many exercise instructors who work with senior populations instruct their clients who are in wheelchairs to do arm stretches and arm lifts. Moving their arms above their heads and across their chests stretches the muscles in the<span id="more-8"></span> forearms and biceps.<a href='http://www.fitsugar.com/2944025'>This/tag  helps explain it more.  It keeps blood moving in the arms and helps keep arthritis and other conditions at bay.</p>
<p>Seniors who can move their legs are also sometimes instructed to do leg lifts. While sitting in their chairs, seniors can extend their leg at the knee and bring it level with the chair. They can alternate each leg and move their calves and their knees to improve their flexibility and their muscle endurance. Exercise instructors sometimes have clients flex their feet during leg lifting. Flexing the feet also keeps blood moving through the ankle and lower leg. Often parents just aren&#8217;t ready to deal with this. The house seems too quiet, there aren&#8217;t lunches and dinners to make and no one to ask you a million questions a day. It can be downright lonely. <br /> The easiest way around this is to make sure you have hobbies outside your children. You will<span id="more-7"></span> be doing this when they are home as well and so when they leave it will not be a huge transition to find something to do as you will already have those plans. Every city has a bowling alley or seasonal sports that you can participate in. This will give you something to do and you&#8217;ll be exercising at the same time. Its a win win situation. <br /> Another great way to cope with absent children is having a pet. They are like having a child around and can take your mind off the quiet in the house. They love attention and having a pet around is a great stress reliever. There are many studies that show that they lower blood pressure so they are great for your health as well. If you can&#8217;t come home to your children a pet is the next best thing. They never judge you and are just happy to have you around.</p>
